Gliding Glory for Dutton and Bates

The Edinburgh University Gliding Club had an outstanding first semester, with a record-breaking 188 flights, averaging 12 flights per weekend.

Massive congratulations for winning the Thorburn Two Seater Trophy for the longest handicapped flight to James Dutton and Andrew Bates who flew 316.4KM in G-CGBB, the club's two seater - equaled to 372.2KM. In the same flight, they also won the Docherty Handicapped Distance Trophy for the longest flight in a glider with a handicap of 100 or less.

Not only that, but James Dutton won this years Junior Ladder with 1728 points.
