FOR NEW MEMBERS - For the first few weeks of semester 1 newcomers are welcome to sign up to ONE taster session without buying their membership (21st of September - 24th of September). Please note you will still need to pay for your lesson at the yard! This is a great opportunity to come down to see the yard, meet our committee, instructor, ponies, and give polo a go! If you enjoy yourself and want to sign up to more lessons, chukkas, and competitions then just purchase your membership and stay updated via both our Instagram page and Facebook group.
LESSONS & CHUKKAS - Lessons are run on Tuesday, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Friday at 2pm. We also run a lesson on Sundays at 11am. Practice chukkas are also available to more experienced players on Tuesdays, with the opportunity for all members to work towards this during their time with us. Information surrounding lesson prices will be given on our open day but please get in touch to discuss the financials surrounding polo!
Throughout the year we participate in Scottish Student Sports Polo, SUPA Nationals, beach polo, varsity matches and a Scottish Universities beginners league to name but a few! Should an individual require a refund – this can only be done by the club you have joined in cash or cheque (at their own discretion). The Sports Union Membership cannot be refunded, and neither can the transaction fee.
You may be eligible for financial assistance to help you take part in sport. You can find more information about the University's Participation Grant and other hardship funds here.
