EUAFC currently operates four teams: our 1st XI, 2nd XI, Under 20s (3rd XI) and 4th XI. Our teams train twice a week (Monday and Thursday evenings) and play competitive games twice a week. On Wednesday afternoons we compete in BUCS against other Universities, with our 1st XI being the current Scottish Champions. On Saturdays our 1st XI competes in the Lowland league which is the 5th Tier of Scottish football. Our 2nd and 4th XI play their weekend football in LEAFA and our Under 20’s compete in the Lowland and East of Scotland Development League on Friday evenings.
Outside of football, EUAFC provides its members with the best social life in Edinburgh. We have regular socials on Wednesday and Saturday evenings after games where you can get to know boys from across the club regardless of which team you play for. The Sports Union Ball, our end of season awards dinner (Football Ball) and our annual club tour seeing the sights of Europe are without doubt the highlights of the year. The experiences you have, memories you make and friendships you form over your time at the club are what makes it so special.
Our aim is to ensure our members develop both as players and people during their time at the club. We’re looking for talented players to join our club to ensure our four teams continue to improve and compete at the highest level possible. Being part of EUAFC is a big commitment but you will undoubtedly get more out than you put in.
