CPD Opportunities
It is important to constantly look for ways to develop yourself in line with your professional responsibilities and ambitions. This can range from volunteering your time with a sports club or charity, taking on a summer internship or going through professional qualifications. There are also numerous FREE courses put on by sporting and non-sporting organisations that can help boost your knowledge and make you more employable.

Mental Health First Aid Workshop
Join us for a free Mental Health First Aid Workshop covering Stress and Anxiety Management.
Stress and Anxiety causes many people to lose quality of life. It affects the way we feel, behave, think, interact with others and can be harmful both mentally and physically if left unchecked. The world of competitive sport is exciting, intense and increasingly fast-paced. If not properly balanced with rest and down-time it can result in experiencing increased feelings of pressure and stress.
This engaging 2 hour workshop offers stress & anxiety management techniques and simple but effective strategies to protect and build resilience from the pressures and challenges stress puts upon us, especially in challenging times, work/study pressures and life changes.
By attending, you will:
- Have a better understanding of the process. The changes our body goes through when faced with a stressful situation, how it affects us and how we respond.
- Recognise the signs, symptoms, triggers and causes of stress and anxiety generally and when extra pressures are upon us in life/sport/studying.
- Identify and understand our own stress levels so we can stay safe during difficult times, sport/study pressures and changes/difficulties in our life.
- Learn effective strategies and how to build resilience so we’re able to self-manage symptoms in a positive and meaningful way.
Sign up for the session here. As there are limited spaces available we recommend signing up sooner than later to confirm your space. This session is open to all, but is likely of interest to current and incoming Wellbeing and Inclusion Officers.
