As the Partnerships and Alumni Officer, I will focus on developing partnerships and developing alumni communities that improve the experience of students engaging with sport at Edinburgh.  In particular, I will prioritise the following objectives:

Partnerships

• Creating new partnerships that open opportunities for training and volunteering, and provide pathways for the continuous development of individuals and clubs
• Where needed, I will assist clubs with negotiating new partnerships or maintaining current ones, and giving administrative support for clubs engaging with larger corporate sponsors
• Continuing to maintain good relationships with EUSU’s current partners, and ensuring they continue to provide tangible benefits to members of sports clubs
• Support new and smaller clubs in finding new partners, and extend this support to intramural teams, to support wider club development and funding

Alumni

• Providing support to clubs that are looking to improve engagement with their alumni community, and provide assistance to the running of alumni days and events
• Provide individualised support to clubs looking to make withdrawals from their alumni fund, from strengthening their application, to communicating their spending to alumni 
• Liaise with smaller clubs without a strong alumni culture in place, and provide individualised support to growing this programme and off of a previous year’s experience provide support to clubs who are looking to grow their alumni fund and encouraging donations 
• Spearhead the production of the alumni newsletter periodically during the year, and spotlight any clubs that have done outstanding work to engage alumni during the year, maintain transparency for alumni surrounding the use and allocation of alumni funds
• Continuing the encouragement of donations to, and appropriate use of the alumni fund, in particular through widening usage of the alumni fund to support the general activity of clubs when costs are increasing.
• Improve the structure of EUSU's Alumni Community to act as a hub for sharing the expertise of alumni and supporting to clubs through a wide range of objectives

As the Partnerships and Alumni Officer, I will act as a champion for all clubs in the development, negotiation, and maintaining of strong relationships with partners, sponsors, and alumni.  I will support partnership and alumni officers of clubs beyond Welcome Week and during the whole year.
