COVID UPDATE - We will continue to follow the latest government guidelines with regards to contact sports, but as we are fortunate enough to play in an outdoor setting we have been back in action since the Spring. Any future updates to government guidelines will be reflected in our lessons and chukkas. The track and tracing is recorded via the lesson & chukka sign up sheets. Please also see our policy around Covid below.
FOR NEW MEMBERS - For the first few weeks of semester 1 everyone is welcome to sign up to one lesson without buying their membership. Please note you will still need to pay for your lesson at the yard! Come down to see the yard, meet our committee, instructor and ponies, and give polo a go! If you enjoy yourself and want to sign up to more lessons, chukkas, and competitions then just purchase your membership and stay updated via both our Facebook page and Facebook group.
LESSONS & CHUKKAS - Lessons are run on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. Practice chukkas are also available to more experienced players on Tuesdays and Fridays, with the opportunity for all members to work towards this during their time with us. Information surrounding lesson prices will be given on our open day but please get in touch to discuss the financials surrounding polo!
Throughout the year we participate in Scottish Student Sports Polo, SUPA Nationals, beach polo, varsity matches and a Scottish Universities beginners league to name but a few! Like our page on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/EUPoloClub) to sign up to lessons and to keep up to date with all our competitions and socials.
CONTACT: If you have any questions then please e-mail us at email@example.com. Our Instagram (@eupoloclub) is also a really quick way to get in touch with us.
COVID POLICY -
If you test positive for COVID please let us know if you have lessons booked in. For obvious reasons, anybody who tests positive for COVID should not enter the yard until their self-isolation period ends.
DO NOT attend lessons if you have any COVID symptoms and for the two weeks after your first symptoms. We also ask that if you have been in contact with anybody who later tests positive for COVID that you do not come to the yard for at least the following 10 days- even if you have been double vaccinated! It is important to social distance at all times at the yard. Do not go into the tack room.
If you find out that you, or someone you live with, has COVID or needs to self isolate having already been to the yard because of contact at a time before attending the yard then you must let both the committee and James know immediately.
If anyone comes to the yard when they HAVE SYMPTOMS, are SELF-ISOLATING, are AWAITING A TEST RESULT or KNOW THEY HAVE COVID they will be BANNED from the club immediately with no refund given on membership, removal from all groups and pages, and no opportunity to re-join until at least the next academic year. PLEASE work with us with regards to COVID as the implications on all other members and the yard itself should the yard have to close due to COVID contacts/cases are potentially huge.
