Edinburgh University Badminton Club had a midweek BUCS League match against current league leaders, The University of the West of Scotland 1s in the Scottish 1s division. West of Scotland has some of the best players in Scotland, which made the 10-2 victory to Edinburgh so much sweeter.

Edinburgh 1s put on a great display by securing themselves a place in the division 1 competition, which will take place later in the year. The 2s missed out on a place in division 2 because of an unfortunate seeding, which saw both Edinburgh teams go head to head with the 1s prevailing in a tight encounter.
