Intramural Sport

The Sports Union currently offers 9 sports as part of the Intramural Sport programme.

Register your interest in playing IM Sport by exploring the individual sport pages and liking our Facebook Pages. Our Facebook Pages are the best way to find out more about established teams, if you're looking to join an already formed team, and to keep up with any Intramural Events. 

If you want to join Intramural Sport but don't know how then follow the steps shown below!

  

All team members will be required to purchase an SU Membership to take part in any Intramural Sport activities.

UoE Student Membership £8.50

Non-UoE Student Membership £17.00

 

The structure of 2022/23 IMS programme is subject to change based on current SGB guidance.

Each of our sports is run by a member of our IMS commitee - all student volunteers. If you would like any further information, please contact the IMS Officer for your chosen sport.

Become a referee or umpire:

We offer several part-time paid roles as referees or umpires within our Intramural Sport programme. 

  • To register your interest as an already qualified referree or umpire please contact the IMS Officer for your sport
  • There are also sport specific referree/ umpire courses, please contact the IMS Officer to register your interest

Should an individual require a refund – this can only be done by the club you have joined in cash or cheque (at their own discretion). The Sports Union Membership cannot be refunded, and neither can the transaction fee.

You may be eligible for financial assistance to help you take part in sport. You can find more information about the University's Participation Grant and other hardship funds here.
