Intramural Sport

The University is proud to boast the largest Intramural Sport programme in Scotland. If intense competition is not for you, our Intramural Sport programme offers a more relaxed alternative to club sport and is open to anyone - individuals, groups of friends, postgraduates and international students alike.

Intramural Sport allows students to participate in a fun and friendly atmosphere where taking part is more important than winning.

All team members will be required to purchase an SU Membership to take part in any Intramural Sport activities.

Registration for the below sports for the 2021/22 season opens on at 09:00 on Wednesday 4th August 2021 and close on Wednesday 29th September 2021.

The structure of 2021/22 IMS programme is subject to change based on current SGB guidance.

 

Each of our sports is run by a member of our IMS commitee - all student volunteers. If you would like any further information, please contact the IMS Officer for your chosen sport.

Become a referee or umpire:

We offer several part-time paid roles as referees or umpires within our Intramural Sport programme. 

• To register your interest, please contact the IMS Officer for your sport
• We are looking to run a Rugby referee course in September 2021, please contact the rugby IMS Officer to register your interest
