Services Available to Students

The University provides a variety of health and wellbeing services to support matriculated students at the University, with options for students to speak to someone or do some self-help.

Crisis Support

If you or a member of your club is experiencing a mental health crisis, immediate help is available. Follow the link for urgent support options and crisis contacts.

Wellbeing Advisors

Every matriculated student has a dedicated Wellbeing Advisor within their school. They can support you with issues affecting your health, wellbeing, studies or personal life. 

Student Councelling Service

This Service provides confidential short-term counselling and guidance. They can also help you access other appropriate support services.

The Advice Place

Offers a professional, independent and confidential advisory service through EUSA. They support students with topics such as money, studies, housing and difficult experiences.

Student Disability Service

The team provides personalised support based on individual needs. They assist students with neurodiverse conditions, physical disabilities and mental health challenges.

The Chaplaincy

The Chaplaincy offers a safe space for personal, emotional and spiritual support. Their services are open to all students, including those with no religious background.

Edinburgh Nightlife

Edinburgh Nightlife is a confidential, non-judgemental listening service run by students. They offer support for anyone who needs someone to talk to during the night.

iThrive is an online space that provides a directory of self-help and organisations offering support services in the Edinburgh Area.

Scottish Action for Mental Health (SAMH)

Offer a number of self-referral services as well as signposting to a number of other National organisations who can offer support.
