Skills sessions organised by the EUMC and run by other members, unless otherwise stated, are free, peer-led sessions. This means that the leaders/helpers for the sessions are NOT necessarily qualified instructors in the given area. In some cases, appropriate qualifications might be held (such as Summer Mountain Leader, Rock Climbing Instructor, etc.), but this is not guaranteed. In many cases, helpers attend induction sessions/undergo basic training to ensure a high quality of the sessions, and keep safety a priority.
