Wednesday the 20th of May will see the University of Edinburgh take on their home rivals Heriot Watt in a day of 17 fierce fixtures. With 12 different sports competing at 4 different venues across the city, Scotland’s capital will be coming alive as these two sporting giants go head-to-head.
The incredibly successful performance and impressive set of results that the University of Edinburgh attained at this year’s BUCS tournament in February should prove to Heriot Watt that they will definitely have to be on their A-game when confronted with such nationally renowned sporting prowess.
However, it is also important to remember that despite having won the tournament for several years in a row, the University of Edinburgh will be far from complacent when it comes to taking on the best that Heriot Watt has to offer. Months of training and preparation has meant that both teams are now finally ready to face each other in the ultimate showdown, and it will be interesting to see if Edinburgh will succeed for another year running and secure a win for the University.
Events will be taking place from 12PM-7:30PM at the Meadows, St Leonards, Pleasance and Peffermill, so make sure you head on down to support your respective university teams- you definitely won’t want to miss this.
