Since regular club training ceased Vicente (Kumite Captain) stepped up to provide members with 2x one hour live stream training sessions a week, suitable for training in a confined space. In these sessions he managed to incorporate not just his speciality - kumite - but also fitness, basics and kata drills, allowing members to maintain and develop skills in all aspects of their karate. He is also sourcing and sharing drills with us from high level Spanish karate athletes and coaches. Vicente also managed to find a competitive opportunity in a e-Kata competition which some members hope to take part in later in April. Finally, in isolation he has also put together a beautiful spreadsheet to track the medals won by club members, which will greatly help the tracking of those eligible for blues and half-blues in future. Vicente has stepped up to ensure the Karate club members can stay active and involved in their sport.
Congratulations on winning our first ever CVA Member of the Lockdown!!
