Padel Club

The University of Edinburgh Padel Club are excited to bring padel to Edinburgh for our second official year!

Welcome to the UOE Padel Club!

We are one of the EUSU fastest growing Sport Clubs and are entering our second official year in 2025/26 and have lots in store!

We are open to all abilities!!!

As a club we offer both recreational and competitive padel. Alongside this, we participate in the National Universities Padel League (NUPL) (Which we almost won) and we run multiple domestic and international tours and trips (we went to Newcastle last year, and to Malaga in Spain as well).

Please find more info about our competitive and recreational setups below

Competitive:

- After a successful first year of competitive padel, we're back with bigger squad allocations than ever

- We're hosting 3 Men's competitive squads structured in 1st team, 2nd team, 3rd team style

- We're hosting 2 Ladies competitive squads structured in 1st team, 2nd team

- Whilst competitive, these sessions are still focused on enjoyment and fun. The standard varies massively team to team, and we welcome both intermediate padel players started to get an addiction to 3 set matches, and seasoned veterans who can pop the ball out the court - everyones welcome!

- For the Ladies, we offer an extremely inclusive no-pressure environment across our competitive teams. Anyone's welcome and training often feels more like a fun knockaround rather than a high-intensity selective training session

- Individuals in Men's 1st/2nd & Ladies 1st/2nd also run the potential to be selected to represent Edinburgh at National University Padel League fixtures. This is a super fun competitive league that we participate in, and we play other Uni's in the North - and then if qualify, participate in the Finals Day in London at the end of the year.

- Finally, we aim to host trials for Men's squads (none for Ladies, anyones welcome). These trials will roughly place you in a team from which there will be lots of movement throughout the season. Please monitor our instagram for further information around trials.

- Training and competitive padel is set to take place at Game4Padel Edinburgh Park, which are covered courts around 20 min tram distance away from Princes Street.

Recreational:

- We also host extremely fun and laidback weekly sessions at Craigmillar Park Tennis & Padel Club

- These are super cheap (around £2 per session - the cheapest rates in Edinburgh and 9 times cheaper than the average London court!)

- These sessions are open to anyone, both Men and Women of all abilities and beginners are more than welcome.

- Further information around session timings and dates will be communicated through the members whatsapp and instagram channels in due time.

Please feel free to contact us at padel@ed.ac.uk or @uoepadel on Instagram regarding any questions.
