We make getting into motorsport easy, affordable, and fun. At EUMSC you can try your hand at karting, motorbiking, and sim racing. Karting and sim racing are excellent ways to experience racing first-hand, you don’t even need a driving licence. We have our own karting championship and compete at the British Universities Karting Championship (BUKC), a national event where 100 teams compete at 3 different levels. In addition, we hold bike events throughout the year, from mini-motos to motor-cross. Motorsport is also a spectator sport, we organise social events like Formula 1 watch-alongs, go to motorsport races and car shows. Keep updated on our Facebook for more social events where you can chat about all things motorsport (or not) with likeminded people.
We are a diverse club that is open to everyone, no matter the level of experience with racing, karting, biking, and cars. If you would like more information, follow us on Facebook and check out our club trailer.
Membership options explained:
Most of our members will only need to pay the general membership fee of £30. This gives you general club access, covers transport costs etc.
The team membership is reserved for those members competing in the BUKC this year.
If you are unsure or would like to ask us which membership option would be better for you, feel free to get in touch.
CONTACT: If you have any questions with regards to getting involved with the club then e-mail us on motorsport@ed.ac.uk.
Should an individual require a refund – this can only be done by the club you have joined in cash or cheque (at their own discretion). The Sports Union Membership cannot be refunded, and neither can the transaction fee.
You may be eligible for financial assistance to help you take part in sport. You can find more information about the University's Participation Grant and other hardship funds here. Alternatively, email sports.president@ed.ac.uk for information about the funds available.
